October 26th, 2003: The specially called business meeting was held
and the motion to purchase a video projector and wall mounted screen was
approved. Thank you all for attending and voting.
October 19th, 2003:
NOTICE: SPECIALLY CALLED BUSINESS
MEETING
The Board of Trustees would like to present a request to the
congregation on October 26th, 2003 following the morning service, for the
purchase of a portable projection system and wall mounted screen for the
sanctuary in memory of Jean Delaney.
The Board recommends that $2,900.00 be designated for this
expenditure. This will leave a balance of $1,757.00 in the the
Delaney Memorial Fund.
Please contact Pastor Stecker for additional details.

September 28th, 2003: Home fellowship groups have started. If
you would like to join one please let Pastor Stecker know.

July 28th, 2003: Pastor Stecker's First Sunday will be August 3rd. A
Welcoming potluck will be held Sunday August 17th, after the morning
service. And Pastor Stecker's Installation Service is scheduled for
September 14th @ 4:00 pm.
June 23rd, 2003: VBS 2003, SonCounty Harvest Fair, was a great
success. Average attendance was around 170 children with 40 to 50
wonderful staff. On one day 17 students responded to the salvation
message. Pictures are available here.
June 11th, 2003: Sympathy is extended to the family of Pastor Maxfield on his recent
passing. He was loved and appreciated by many in the church and the
community. Our hearts ache with sadness, along with the families
hearts, for many will greatly miss this wonderful man of God.
Memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, June 21st, 11:00am at Rainier
Community Church of God.
June 9th, 2003: VBS is
almost here! As Proof of that, the VBS Roundup was held again this
year in the city park after church on Sunday the 8th. Pictures are here.
Thank you to all who help setup, worked during, and helped clean up.

Shrout, and his band, Kutless, for

March 2nd, 2003:
PRAISE GOD!
At the annual business meeting on Feb. 24th, the congregation voted to
extend a call to Pastor Steve Stecker to be our Senior Pastor. Sunday
March 2nd Howard Butz, Pulpit Committee Chairperson, announced the Pastor
Stecker has accepted our call. The Pulpit Committee, Board of
Trustees, and Church Council will now continue in dialog with Pastor Stecker
to ensure that the process of the Stecker family moving to Rainier is a
smooth transition for everyone.

January 5th, 2003: The Pulpit Committee has announced Pastor Steve
Stecker as candidate for Senior Pastor. His resume is available in the
church now. Please pick up a copy and review it. A candidating
weekend has been schedule for Jan. 31, Feb. 1, Feb. 2. A schedule of
the weekend is available here.
Please be praying for Pastor Steve, his family, and our congregation that we
will all be following God's leading.
Additionally The pulpit committee has selected Pastor Emmett and Rita
Hofer to be our Interim Pastor.
