- December 18th, 2005: Pastor Julie Ammons was ratified to move to
Associate Pastor with responsibility for Youth and Children's
ministries. Congratulations Pastor Julie.
- December 5th, 2005: Ever wanted a copy of a presentation that was in
a class or sermon. Or a form for camps or events. Well we are
now trying to put all such things in the downloads
section. If you have something that you are looking for and would like
to see here please contact the webmaster.
It may take a few weeks to locate the file and get it online, but we will do
our best and let you know when it is available.
- November 20th, 2005: Pastor Stecker made the following announcement:
"In step with pursuing a philosophy of ministry which will further
encourage and facilitate the equipping of a volunteer staff for ministry to
our youth, including the development of an internship program, the Board of
Trustees and the Council of Rainier Community Church of God unanimously
presents to the congregation for your consideration Pastor Julie Ammons
to fill a full time position as Associate Pastor of Christian Education with
primary responsibilities in Youth and Children's ministry."
Congratulations to Pastor Julie. If you have any questions
regarding this proposal please contact Pastor
Stecker. And be sure to attend the special business meeting on
Sunday December 18th, 2005 to vote on this proposal.
- August 15th, 2005: VBS has come and gone. Summer camps are all
over. And the dust of campmeeting is but a fading memory. It can
only mean one thing: It's time for a celebration! In fact, it's
time for a centennial celebration. Yes, Rainier Community Church of
God has been ministering to the community for 100 years and we are going to
have a celebration on Sunday September 11th, 2005 with the fall startup of
our Sunday School, Worship time, and a barbeque in the park. If you
know of former members that would like to know of this event please contact
the church office and give the office the persons name, address, and phone
number.
- June 25th, 2005: This years VBS ministered consistently to an average of
178 children (and their families). Many thanks to all those who poured
their time, efforts, prayers, heart and souls into this marvelous endeavor!
- June 1st, 2005: Pastor Julie and her staff are almost ready for this years VBS. See this years theme
here.

- May 23rd, 2005: Our 40 Days of Purpose concluded Sunday with a wonderful time of testimonies and sharing during the service and a great time of "fellowship" during the potluck. Thank you to all who planned,
publicized, lead, and attended for this program.
- April 9th, 2005: My apologies to all for the lack of updates over the
past year. Hopefully I will be able to focus on keeping this site
up-to-date. Thank you for your patience.
- April 3, 2005: Our "40 Days of Purpose" campaign is almost
here. We will kick off this event with a special evening time of
fellowship on Saturday, April 9th. at 6:00pm.
- March 31, 2005: Our former Youth Pastor, Jess Hutchison and his wife
Laura have had their first Child. Baby Isaac was born with some
complications. Check out Pastor Jess' website here
